What range of gems and minerals are proposed by Mineral Vibes ?
With Mineral Vibes, I aim to offer collectors high-quality, affordable specimens, perfect for any crystal enthusiast seeking a unique addition to their collection. Most of the pieces are priced between €200 and €5,000, with only a very few exceeding this range. What varieties of gems and minerals are proposed by Mineral Vibes ?
I offer a diverse selection of specimens and I’m not limited to specific varieties. Some of my favorites include Quartz, Amethyst, Tourmaline, Fluorite, Malachite, and Dioptase. However, this is just a glimpse of what I have to offer—you’ll also find other unique pieces on my website and Instagram, depending on my discoveries and the availability of new finds. If you’re searching for a specific variety that isn’t currently in stock, feel free to reach out, and I’ll do my best to help you find your dream specimen!
Where do your minerals come from ?
The world is my source of inspiration, with no limits on the countries of origin for my specimens. However, certain regions are renowned for producing exceptional gems and minerals, and I proudly feature specimens from these top locations: Tourmalines from Minas Gerais, Brazil; Aquamarines from Pakistan, Amethysts from Veracruz, Mexico; Fluorites from Berbes, Spain, Malachites and Cuprites from the Katanga region in the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Azurites from Tsumeb, Namibia—among many others!
Are mineral specimen proposed by Mineral Vibes natural and authentic ?
Even if the answer may seem obvious to a connoisseur, it’s a question I often get from beginners seeing mineral specimens for the first time. The answer is simple: YES, all these stunning minerals are entirely natural, created by Mother Nature herself, who has the ultimate recipes and processes for crafting such wonders. These specimens have been sourced from some of the finest mines worldwide, known for producing exceptional gems and minerals, and are now available to take a place of pride in your collection!
Product-specific questions
Have specimens been repaired or restored ?
In rare cases, certain crystals may require repair, restoration, or consolidation to preserve their integrity. At Mineral Vibes, I am committed to full transparency and always disclose any repairs or restorations made to a specimen. These interventions are solely intended to return the piece to its original condition, without altering or enhancing its natural appearance. All repairs are carried out by a professional laboratory specializing in these processes, using UV-reactive resins to clearly identify the areas treated, ensuring complete transparency for my customers. It is important to note that such interventions apply to only a small fraction of the specimens offered here, and all details are openly shared with the buyer.
How are the specimens measured and described
Each specimen is meticulously measured (dimensions and weight) and inspected to ensure collectors receive an accurate description. To help convey the size and proportions of each piece, I also provide photos and videos showing the specimen in hand, allowing for a better appreciation of its overall balance and dimensions. Please note that the size and weight are approximate and not measured with calibrated metrology instruments, so minor variations may occur depending on how the specimen is measured.
Are the photos and videos of the exact specimen I will receive ?
The answer to that question is a resounding YES. Every specimen is entirely unique, and the one you receive will be the exact piece shown in the photos and videos provided. As a photographer with over 25 years of experience, I am today personally dedicated to capturing the best possible images for Mineral Vibes. Great care is taken to ensure the quality and accuracy of the images, including the tones, color balance, and intensity. That said, mineral photography is a complex art. Various factors can influence how images appear on your screen, such as the color calibration and balance of your computer or mobile device. Additionally, certain minerals present unique challenges due to their color properties, which can vary based on lighting conditions and orientation. For instance, gems like Tanzanite exhibit pleochroism—a phenomenon where crystals display different colors depending on the light direction and polarization—making them particularly tricky to photograph accurately.
Can I request additional photos, videos or details about a specimen ?
Yes, definitely. Should you wish to see the specimen under different light conditions (natural, UV light, backlight, etc.), don’t hesitate to ask for. I will make my best efforts to provide you with all information you need to make your decision, and always happy to have a video call to present the specimen.
